i don't really know the best way to describe my problem, but i'll try to make clear and short work of it:

my brushes appear to have lost the ability to be "gradient" or "natural"...? like, for example, they all appear to be posterized/harsh. does that make sense?

it's weird. it's almost as if photoshop is throwing out all of the midtones and only using the blacks...

anyone? any help? thanks!
