I've tried for several hours to create a 3d triangle and octagon for a project that imitates the look of this sphere, made from following this tutorial (http://www.tutorialized.com/view/tutorial/Making-a-Cool-3D-Sphere-in-Photoshop/7570).

But no luck. Anyone have any suggestions??? Thanks for any help you can provide!!
