So yeah, i wanna get rid of the white background, while fading / reducing the transparency of the bear into the moon.

Step by step would be nice, im a major newbie to PS so yeah.

Thanks Big Grin
Happy SUMMER!

Hi Blindfired,

I would recommend, going to the layer with the bear and changing the blend mode (top of the layers panel) from "normal" to "multiply".

The white will be gone, and your bear will blend in with the moon.

If you don't want the bear to blend in too much into the moon, you can create a layer below the bear, and with a brush at 40% opacity, paint in the bear area with white in multiple strokes. A soft brush works best.

Just to add one more possibilty, use blending options. With gray selected from the dropdown box move the white slider on the top layer. Note: hold the option key to split the sliders for fine tuning.

Nicely done Hawkeye,

That option shipped with photo shop 3 or 5, and still hardly anyone knows about it, it is extremely powerful.
