|
|
Best to explain what I want to do by posting a picture.
This is a draft done with another software and I was hoping to get a better result in Photoshop CS4. Especially the anti-aliasing on the edges on top.
The filmstrip and perspective transformation or drop shadow are not a problem. What I can't figure out is how to make it curvy. I googled and searched here but couldn't find it.
If anyone could tell me how to do this I would be very greatful. Also any tips on how to get the edges to look less jagged without getting blurry would be very welcome.
Thanks,

1. Make rectangle
2. delete ares where pictures lay
3. Edit--> Transform--> (I think Distort).
Play with the transform options and you'll have the "Wave" _________________ FREE PHOTOSHOP TUTORIALS: http://www.redpixelmedia.com

Thanks! Gonna try it now.
edit- works great. And why didn't I think of this? Always what is staring you in the face. lol
Is there a way to make to bottom curve follow the the line of the top curve, without using a custom shape, or is it just fiddling around a bit until you get it right? |

Now if you look closely the top is shorter than the bottom to make it have more of a 3D effect, so you don't want the exact curves. What you might try doing is using the built in "wave" effect, with a distort at the top. _________________ FREE PHOTOSHOP TUTORIALS: http://www.redpixelmedia.com

the top being shorter then the bottom was done with a perspective tool in GIMP. Which is a great program but has no warp transform tool.
I ended up using the flag shape with a less percentage and the result is great. No jagged edges.
