Hi all!

I have photoshop cs3 but recently, due to a virus, I had to reinstall the OS and all the programs. Previously the lasso tool used to work by being clicked once and it would trace the paths until clicked again. Now I have to click and hold it down to do this. This is annoying as I am used to the older way. Can anyone tell me how to get it to do this again?

click and hold down on the lasso tool button on the left, it will open up and you have choice of lasso tool, Polygonal, and magnetic. The Magnetic Lasso Tool is the one you are wanting. Click, let go and follow outline, click to close.
