Hi all....

I use Vertus Fluid Mask, but it can't create selections, only cut outs - if I duplicate the original image and use Fluid Mask to create the cut out on a transparent background, how can I then turn this into a selection to bring back into the original image?

TIA

Ctrl click the layer in the layers palette to select.

OK, am getting there slowly.... selection works great - I can copy paste the cut out as a layer on top of the original image, and then ctrl+click to get the selection (it's to put into Alien Skin Bokeh) but when opening bokeh, it only shows the transparent background, not the original one. How can I get the selection onto the original image?

Sorry for being such a newbie, but we all have to learn I suppose.. Big Grin

TIA

I took a brief look at the program...It appears that you are supposed to make a selection of what you do not want affected. Then run the plug-in to blur (Bokeh) the non-selected areas.

My thinking tells me to ctrl-click the selected layer. Then turn it off (eyeball icon) and highlight the original layer which will now have the selection on it, then use the plug-in.

Sorry I can't be more help, but I don't use the program.
