Hi All,

I am pretty new to Photoshop - and loving it....

I am trying to combine images - a person and a backgorund....place person image over background - use pen tool - smooth edges........all good

BUT.....it just looks fake.....

can anyone tell me the fundamentals here or have any good URLS fo this....

Does ur person image have the same lighting (angles, contrast etc) as ur background? because if ur lighting isnt similar in the images it wont work

if u use ps cs2 use the colour match (adjustments>match colour) to get the colours correct

also, u have to bear in mind some images will never match others (unless u manually paint shadows etc)
