So I've always wondered how to do the whole circles thing... with smooth circles. I tried earlier tonight, and they were rougher and rougher as they got smaller.

What I did was make a circle, fill it, go in 20 pixels, delete everything inside, go in another 20 pixels, fill, go in 20 pixels, delete everything inside and so fourth, thus making it rough like I earlier stated.

This is essentially what I want to do...

Or the posters that have the lines shooting out from the middle... kinda like a sun ray. If that makes sense.

Really sorry, I know it sounds insanely n00bish... but yeah...

Certain things are not easy in photoshop this is that is actually easier in a vector program like illustrator.
With that said, you've got the idea right. when you go to reduce the circle use the Selection/Transform Selection. (Not the contract)...either by sight or by entering w/h of say 90%...I know there are other ways but I can't remember right this second.

holding shift+alt whilst drawing a circle allows for a perfect (regular) circle to be created from a centre point.

although not a solution in its selfyou may find it a useful piece of information.
