Circles inside a butterfly shape

Hello,

I am drawinf flowers and circles inside a butterfly shape. But the circles near the edge of this butterly I would like to be cut by the outline of the butterfly edge, not a full circle in other words. How do one do this in Photoshop? So grateful for help!
