Hi everyone, Im Leeboy. Im brand new to the forum and want to learn. I think this is the place to be.
I have been playing with photoshop on/off for years now( still a rookie). I have learned the basics i think..Lately i have been trying to come up with ways to make t-shirts. I like the basic/simple designs for shirts. So, cartooning is what i would like to learn. Bum im totally open to other ways as well. All the old posts i read, most people are using the pen tool and re-drawing them into vectors. Some other posts people are showing images they turned into cartoons saying the did it in 5 minutes, but didnt tell how they did it. So, im open to all ideas and tutorials if people want to chime in and help me out. Here is a picture with not that great quality which i would like to work on...Thanks for all help and the great forum!

Well, a lot depends on what method you are going to use to apply the image onto fabric. Assuming you will be screening it then you dont want too many colors so I would look at playing with the threshold or gradient map.

I erased the background then used the threshold adjustment in the image menu then added a colored bg
