Hello, and thank you for finding this thread, please keep in mind I am new here, but will definitely be looking back for the responses, as this is something I am really needing assistance with.

I am new to photoshop, and don't totally understand the interface yet.
Anyways, here is what I'm trying to do. I am working with flash and photoshop (CS3). What I'm wanting to do is scan images of things I have drawn out on paper, then edit the images, and import them into flash CS3 with all the layers so I can animate with them. MY problem comes when I import the picture, first of all it wont even let me do anything with it at all untill I save it as a PNG. I saved it as a png and opened it up again in a new document. Whenever I try to edit it so that I get rid of the white around it so it is a transparent background it gives me an error saying something like I do not have permission to do this. I would also like to know how to use my magic want tool, select the white inbetween my lines ive drawn, and just fill in color with it. I have found it to distinguish between my pencil lines and the white paper very well with the magic wand tool which is good. I am going to be doing this with tons of images, so a fast way to just edit the image by selecting the background, deleting, then filling in with color in the white would be the preferred way.

PLEASE HELP.
also if you have aim add xcaleb5991@aim.com
I would appreciate help from experience users.
PM also works here.
Thank you again.

Also if you are interested in working on a flash with me, creating backgrounds, audio effects, odds and ends, you can also contact me.
