Hi, folks. I wasn't sure where to post this, but as it's a manipulation from photo to 'art' I thought that this was the best place (I'm still finding my way around).
I've always found PS's atristic filters to be a bit of a blunt instrument. After scouring the internet for tuts, I couldn't find any that were doing anything substantially different from me and the results were less than pleasing. So I started experimenting and I think I've cracked it.
A critique would be much appreciated.
They're all based on this pic.
Coloured pencil
Watercolour
There are a couple of other versions, using different filters just to see the differences - what works or not. They need a bit of tidying up, but I think I'm getting there.
What do you think? |

Cheers, Seaco. I've been mucking about using similar techniques on other pics, but it seems to be that some filters work better on some pics than others. Weird! I'll keep working at it as the challenge is half the fun. |
