Hi there
Photoshop is best when working with pixels - things like digital photographs. Illustrator is best used when working with illustrations - mathematically defined and resolution independent shapes and outlines built from a series of paths.
Photoshop provides some vector tools (like the pen tool which draws freeform paths) but if you're wanting to work with vector shapes and have maximum control then Illustrators for you. If you're just creating or amending pixel-based images then stick with Photoshop! _________________ Matt
