I forgot to mention that one of my many 'talents' is that I am a substitute teacher for all grades. When I get 1st through 5th grades, I try to bribe the kids for good behavior. I write down on the board all the different languages I can say I LOVE YOU in and let them know that as long as they are good, I will write down a language every once in a while. It seldom fails. _________________ moondog

Lol @ Moondog
I took 2 years of Spanish in high school, but it didn't stick very well. I'd like to learn German, since that's what my heritage is and I think it's a cool sounding language anyway.
But I'm a straight up American English speaker. I think UK English is silly (no offense mattyboy ), why have unnecessary letters?
"Armour" instead of armor, "aeroplane" instead of airplane, "favourite" instead of favorite... I could go on. Oh well, you guys have freakin' sweet accents so I guess you make up for it, haha. _________________ "It's like a pencil with erasers at both ends, I want it all but we're dealing in percents."

No offense taken, I can understand why some people think it's more complicated than neccessary! _________________ Matt

but yet words that we have as americans turn out larger than some of yours .... we say elevator, you say lift (4 syllables vs 1) we say cigarette and you say fag (3 vs 1) we say bathroom or toilet and you say loo (2 vs 1) and so on ... so it's all even. _________________ moondog

Yes I agree Moondog, I think when you weigh it all up, things work out somewhere near the middle. It's probably the same for every language spoken around the world.
What's the most difficult way of saying 'I love you'? _________________ Matt

I think Finnish or Russian takes the cake on that one. _________________ "It's like a pencil with erasers at both ends, I want it all but we're dealing in percents."
