alright, i work for this photographer thats just getting started doing this type of stuff and i've been in the photoshop field for about 2 years now just messing around and stuff

QUESTION:
we have approximately 180 kids from minor league/tee ball/softball teams to cut out from backgrounds so they may be on a transparent background...these pictures will be blown up to 8X10 and large poster sizes on some, whenever we pen them out it takes us approximately 20 minutes per kid/photograph, is there a quicker way to do this?...

I'll post an image too to get an idea how all these look

THANKS FOR YOUR HELP SRY MY FIRST POST IS A QUESTION THOUGH

PS: there's this guy i know that claims to do it in 5 minutes per kid and gave me a sample pic of what his work looks like, it looked good, if he did it in 5 minutes is another story, thanks

NOTE: the guy who said he can do it in 5 minutes won't reveal to us how he does it b/c he considers us "competition" and a threat to his business..

you can use the magic wand for the good majority and then do some quick selections of everything else, including the pen tool if need be. cuts down time.

its a little rough, if you have a little more time you can save the edges with a layer mask...otherwise, im not the expert on here anyway.

the only thing about the magic wand is it leaves rough edges and he doesn't want that, also with some work i was able to get rid of that, but whenever i got rid of that, there was this "White glow" around the subject...thanks for the reply though, i'll try the mask thing

yea I notcied that after reading you needing to blow it up, I would give layer mask a shot, its not difficult, but it is more time consuming. Still it should be less than 20.
