Could you use preset shapes tool, instead of the marqee tool?

Preset shapes save with smooth edges..

Wish you could post an example of what you want to do..?

Are the corners that you erased where it is jaggy?

yes, but I erase the backgound layer under the corner layers, not the corners layers themselves.

Is there a better way to do this than what I ...

I think you read my OP wrong, or perhaps I wasn't clear enough..

In any case, the corners look ok in photoshop, but when I add it to my webpage thats when I see the jaggies ...
