i'm trying to do a screen capture of a RealPlayer video file, basically to make a jpeg of a couple of frames fromt the video.
now when i press PrintScreen, and paste it in Photoshop, it won't save the RealPlayer image. It shows up as a black box. Either that, or when i save the screen capture, it saves as a black box again.
i've tried going around it by using paint, but it still doesn't work.
Any suggestions?
thanks in advance,
andrei

if it uses hardware acceleration, fraps (fraps.com) will do it.

if you can, disable overlays.

I do screenshots for our site all the time. Had same dilemma you did, found the answer. I use Premiere. You will be able to printscreen any video files you cna import. Can't import a particular file? Try X Video COnverter for anything you can't bring into Premiere.

Try this software out.

http://www.g4tv.com/screensavers/features/39044/Free_Download_of_the_Day_Gadwin_PrintScreen.html

It is the third download after you click on the "Download Gadwin PrintScreen" link within this link.

The "Gadwin PrintScreen FREE program" is just what you are looking for, I think. :-)
