I am trying to figure out how why something is not working. I added a new layer of text to a slice layout. But it seems in the rollover palette the new layer I created in is only visible in the mouseout state, mouseover make it disappear. I have the marked the layer visible in both layers too. Any ideas?

you need to create a different rollover state for each action. In the rollover pallette, just do what you did to create th original rollover image, but select/change the definition of the state that it is in.
