|
|
Hi, just started printing shots from my Canon A620 on my HP Photosmart 8450, using Elements 4, With help from Scott Kelby’s book “The Photoshop Elements 4 Book” I reduced the size of a shot down to 83 X 62 mm in Photoshop, but when I printed it out on the 8450 on HP 6 X 4 Tabbed paper, it actually came out as 88 X 65 mm!
In previous 6 X 4 prints I thought I had lost a little, can anyone help where I went wrong please?

if you have "scale to fit media" checked, photoshop will ignore all your fancy calculations and do whatever it pleases. That could be it. _________________ brush your hair and comb your teeth |

Hi Gallo,
Think you may be right,
The Printer Properties Box has a similar thing, managed to print a shot to the right size the other day, forgot the exact settings tho, DAM!
You would think that if your printing a 6x4 on 6x4 paper, a "scale to fit media" or "Scale to Borderless Size" or what ever, you would still get all the 6x4 shot on 6x4 paper!
Will keep trying |

Shirts Hi,
Been looking for other 8450 owners with the same prob, pretty sure now its printer related, been using HP 6x4 tabbed paper, its been printing about 4mm over the perforation line onto the tab, Think the aspect ratio of my camera a Canon A620, has something to do with it as well, its 4:3, but the 8450 seems to prefer 3:2,
Was digging around at HP when i found this-
http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/document?lc=en&cc=us&lang=en&docname=c00277770&product=402150&dlc=en&printable=no&encodeUrl=true&
Am yet to try it, paragraph 7 at the bottom,
what do you think? |
