Hi all
My wife bought a 8 Mega Pixel Camera, the sale rep told her that a 8 mega pixel is fine and you don't need to go higher as the more pixels are only for printing larger images on a large canvas.
Now I thought the more pixels you have the better quality the image and more colours etc, and nothing to do with the output.
Or am I wrong?
Thankyou

The more pixels, the better the quality, yes. However, the more pixels you have the larger you are able to stretch your image digitally on your computer. With a smaller number of pixels, your image will become more distorted the larger you make it. _________________ Photoshop Tips |

On screen you see 72dpi.
Yes.. in theory the more pixels the larger you can print without pixelating..but..you also have to see what you are printing to..I've noticed that if I print a 300 dpi image as a 6x4 it doesn't look any better a 600 or 1200 dpi my printer can only handle so much information.
