Hi all,
I am currently photoshopping this picture and I was wondering whether anyone could give me some advice on how to reduce the transparency of the curtains (in the bottom half a terrace and window frame are shining through)?
I tried playing with the 'Output Levels' on those areas, but the result is quite uneven. If only the folds were parallel I could stretch the top part over the terrace.

Speaking from a retouchers point of view, I would worry more about the cascading light fall at the very bottom of the curtains, it is the most distracting point of the image. In my view, you should remove that, selectively sharpen and move on

I wouldn't worry about it personally. I agree with Mr Hermits advice but if you really want to get rid of it then I think you would have to get rid of it the hard way by hand and mouse/tablet with smudge tool or clone stamp or something along those lines.

In the end I stretched out the terrace bits and levelled it out with the rest of the curtains.
