So, i'm completely new to photoshop and am using CS3 for Mac. I've done some research online and even found a video or two to try and help me make my 'pet eye' go away, but i cant get anything to work.
One method that i tried, (which now i dont know how i did it) i was choosing black as my color but it was actually coloring a greyish color.
Anyway, can someone please let me know the simplest way to go about doing this? My purpose is to get rid of the pet eye in about 10ish photos to use in a collage coffee mug as a gift. So, the images wont be really big, but i dont want them glowing blue or green either.

One straightforward way to fix these is to simply paint over the pupil with black or near black (on a separate layer, of course).
For the halo of green/blue that reaches into the brown iris, open a blank layer, change blend mode to color, sample the brown eye color, and paint out the green halo. You can paint the catchlights in on another blank layer.

Wow! That looks MUCH better! I think i understand how you're describing what to do, but i know very minimal about PS, in general. I'll give it a try later this afternoon and hopefully I can get it to work!

Ok, so. I dont understand how you're doing this. Can you please explain it again? I'm attempting to use the dropper, and althoiugh my color selected is black, it's showing white. How do i sample the brown? using the clone tool? Sorry, i just dont understand. If you have time, please explain.
