please see the 2 images, on the left I have used a new layer then -selection - modification - expand . . . then put any size ( 10 pixels ) and then OK!
but if you see on the left image, the corners its "rounded" I need to know how to get the corners like the right image ? I try several choices and I cant.
the image on the right, I need to do a lot of work, like create new layer - then selection the image - fill with any color ( in this case white ) then - modific to bigger image - then put the layer down the first image - then blend the two images and finally get like the right image with "no rounded" corners..
please any help ? thanks |

Instead of going to modification and expand use...
Select > Transform Selection
Then hold Alt+Shift and drag a corner to the desired border width and accept changes by clicking the tick button in the top toolbar.
Then fill with white obviously. |

Another alternative (if you're happy to make the entire image bigger) is to use image->canvas size.
Click the "Relative" checkbox then specify "width" and "Height" to tell it how much bigger you would like it to be.
Also look at the "Anchor" section and position your original in the centre, if it isn't already.
If you have your image as the background layer, choose white as the "Canvas extension color" to get a white border which is attached to your image.
Most likely your current image is not the background layer, which is fine. It will add a transparent border to the size you specified. You can then add a solid white background layer yourself. |
