Is it possible to draw or paint straight lines and smooth curves? When using the mouse there's absolutely no fine control for line drawing or precise erasures or paint strokes. Lines are wiggly and erratic. Erasures of background leaves dents and gouges in the foreground image. Is there a better mouse? Software? Any ideas? |

Take the PEN tool, click a few times, then select the tool shaped like ">" and click on the connecting dots, and while holding them down, move the mouse. Play around with it, and you'll get nice curves.
Dont forget to connect the line, at the 1st dot.
Then right click, WITH a pen tool, and select "Make selection" or "fill" or "stroke (this will make a path, thickness depending which size brush you select)".

Thanx, f!ss!on. I'll give that tip a try. Do you know of any way to create straightline or smooth curve erasures with the eraser tool? |

Doubt it, but you can do so with the pen tool  .
Just make the shape you want to erase, then right click "make selection" and hit "delete". This again, may not come out so neat, but it works for accuate shapes.
You can try using the brush tool, its much smoother than the pencil, but thats all i can think of.

If you use a pencil or brush or even eraser you can draw in a straight line or erase in a straight line by holding shift, then drawing or erasing.

Thats only for vertical and horizontal lines.
