hey guys,

Being very new to Photoshop esp when it comes to creating logos etc... I'm thinking about doing something from scratch..

how do i go about it..

For eg.. say if i wanted to create a flaming helmet like the helmet from the movie 300... how do i go about it from scratch.. where do i start?

anyone can point me in the right direction, tutorials etc?

You'll have to start by learning the basics. Look for tutorials on the internet, and get a good book on Photoshop. You have to learn to walk before you can run.

I've been using CS4 for photo manipulation for a couple of years now but not into that sorta artistic reasons.

Your first post was a bit misleading, "Being very new to Photoshop...".

Checking Bert Monroy's site and his video tutorials would be a good start. He is a rather extraordinary Photoshop artist.
