|
|
Hello all you crafty people,
I have been trying to think of ways I could create a vintage looking poster but have been caught in a rut. I want to make something almost identical to the the image I attached. So far I have the basics down with the bold solid colors in the background and the text. I have a frame but it could use some work. The main thing I think is to have an overal dirty and worn look to the whole page. How might I be able to create this frame/worn look?
Any feedback is very much appreciated!

Find texture from stock photography sites of torn paper, oil barrels and suitable 'grunge'. www.sxc.hu is a free site that has a lot of images.
You could also download brushes and work those in.

I second the texture idea. You have the general discoloration and wear and tear, you’re just missing something to make it look more crinkled and physically worn.
