Hi,
I am a photographer using Photoshop for all my editing.
At the moment I'm using Monitor Colour as my default colour space as I upload most of my images to the web.
I've recently made these photos available for print online.
Will the fact that they are in the Monitor Colour space setting have an effect on the final print?
And if I change to something like AdobeRGB 1998 will that effect the way the image is viewed online?
In a nutshell - what is the best colour space to use if want to upload images to the web, and have those images print looking exactly like the web version?

Hi Bevan welcome to the forums.
You have just opened up a can of worms and it may seem more like Pandora's box by the time you have finished.
To answer one of your questions off the bat, if uploading images to the web then use sRGB, most print houses/printers are now geared towards using sRGB as their 'standard' colour space too and so the crossover is more predictable. This is horribly simplistic and open to some debate, but unless you want to open the box, I don't know what to tell you.
I include some links for your perusal at your leisure. It's a vast subject, so this is just a taste.
SO far it's been a bit of an Andrew Rodney love in, but he is an authority! (I hold no connection).
You could also do a lot worse than getting some online articles and/or a book by Dan Margulis, he's up there too with his knowledge. _________________ If life serves you lemons, make lemonade!
