Hi all.

I have this image:

And i tried to convert it into simply .txt format using an OCR reader (I am using the ABBYY Fine Reader registered edition), but i encountered many misspellings and missing letters in the translation.

How might i use photoshop to clean up this image to be readable by my OCR reader, bearing in mind that i have another 31 pages to convert after this one?

Thanks,
Valor.

edit/

BTW, the handwritten text around the outsides doesn't matter.

I don't think PS can help you...it does not have OCR capacities.
ABBYY Fine Reader is one of the best OCR software out there.
I'm assuming you are going to have to let ABBYY do most of the work, then clean the remaining errors by hand, in word or something similar...

30 pages isn't so much..you can tell I'm not the one doing it..lol

Yeh, sounds like quqite a task, but they dont come much better than ABBYY, so if that cant do it, nothing else can, correct the mistakes by hand

See if this works any better. Obviously in the middel where the line cow/kesserkrall/skaarjscout is obscured you're going to have to fix up by hand.

All I've done is rotate it so it's level, remove handwriting with the brush, then use select colour range to rab al the white and fil it.

And I sort of compressed the pic a bit so that it would fit in the attachment size.

edit--
I just relized that wasn't perfect white, but it still looks a bit cleaner.
