Alright, my dad and I are building a car that we'll be drag racing in the spring. If your into cars and you didn't know this already, the slang term for a big block chev motor is a "rat." Well, we own a 1965 Dodge Dart and need a decal to tease the Chev guys (all in good fun). We came up with "Rat Poison." And I was thinking of a graphic with a tranquilizer dart shot into a dead cartoon rat beside these words.
Now, I've been muddling around for a while with graphic design and I never really came up with something without using predrawn images already.
Can anyone lead me in the right path to start this? Even some ideas would help too. Thanks guys

Alright I have a few here. I'm not sure if I'm on the right track or not because nobody has replied yet lol. I'm not sure if I should have shaded or leave that until later?
Anyways, here they are. I'm not much of a cartoon drawer.

Wow! That is brilliant! I love it. Hahahahaha.
I will seriously consider using this. This is definatly something to consider.
Can you tell me how you did this? Where did you get the picture of the rat?

Pulled the RAT out of my head...I drew it in pencil and scanned it as is. Normally I ink these things...I'll see if I ink it later.

For what its worth it's inked, sorry I'm late but life got in the way...
Kept the painting simple again by only using styles.
