when i try to use the clone tool, instead of it copying the area i had set as the place to be copied, i get a bunch of smudges. same with the smudge tool. see the attached image for an example. i used one single touch of the clone tool. rather than a circle of pink i got this smucge. thanks, boyd.

have you checked your brush settings to see if they have changed at all??? could be that your opacity is off or something...
