Hi all,
Can anyone tell me how I blend two images together at the seams. If I've attached the image correctly you'll see a slightly darker area in one image than the other where the two hemisphere's have stitched together.
any help would be great.

One question:
Are the two images seprate on a seprate layer?
If not then make them two separte images at the seams and use levels (ctrl-L on a pc or command -L on mac) to brighthen or darken them with levels. Then merge them. STAY AWAY FROM BRIGHTNESS AND CONTRAST!!!

The two images (hemisphere's) are 185 degree fisheye's, they are stitched together using iPIX software to cteate a 360 x 360 degree image, (see our website) and exported into Photoshop (CS) as an equirectangular image. Because there is an overlap of 10 degrees to aid seamless stitching, occasionally a dark area appears, as in the attached image. I'm trying to find a way to blend out the dark area before exporting back to iPIX. I can't use levels as this will affect the whole hemisphere.

if you use the marquee tool (magic wand tool) to select the lighter part of the cupboard so the section you want to alter is entirely selected, then cut and paste it to a new layer. you can then modify this section (using image > adjust > brightness/contrast), without affecting the rest of the image. when this looks right, merge the layers together and you should be left with the result you are looking for.
