|
|
I have a photo of a girl in front of a plain white wall.
I tried to copy a more interesting wall into this picture, by selecting that wall, and - after seleting the white in the image - use the function 'paste in'. This does fill the white wall with the new wall, but the contour of the girl is 'halo like', very artificial not natural.
I tried refining the edges, but I dont see the effect..
Anyone who knows a tutorial how to 'paste in' in a way it looks natural? A step by step guide with settings? Searched this forum and internet... but didn't find a useful one.
Thanks!
Mirjam

Might have to see what sort of image it is before anyone here can really give you specific help like a step by step guide.
The 'paste in' is probably not the problem by the sounds of what you have described.
It reads as if the selection of the wall is incomplete around the girl and as soon as you paste on top of wall this incompleteness becomes apparent and obvious.
With a marquee tool selected, use the refine edge button to view your selection of the wall. This can help to define good edges from bad ones.
