720 x 576 is Digital Video pixel size and I'm having a few problems with scanning in photos and reshaping them to fit DV size for use in Avid, can anyone give me some expert advice please.
I've scanned in some photos at 350dpi, these photos are various sizes and not the normal 4:3 ratio that DV is. I need to select an area in the photo I need and ensure this is exactly 4:3 ratio .
Question 1 How do I do that, I don't want to crop the whole photo just the bit I've chosen.
That's it really I'm sure there's an easy answer.
I've tried moving and free transforming the section I need from the original and moving it to a new file which is 720 x 576 pixels at 144 screen resolution, problem is when I zoom up on the image in the new file after it's been placed (which I will have to do in my editing software), it becomes immediately pixelated and unclear. I need the image to not lose resloution.
Any help from you guys would be a life saver.
Thanks |

Grab the rectangular marquee tool, and on the tool properties toolbar at the top, there should be a dropdown menu. Click it and select Fixed Aspect Ratio. Input 4 into the first box then 3 into the second box (or 720x576).
Is that what you needed? _________________ Best Regards,
