Ok, might be a very basic question for most users...but, I'm having the darndest time trying to figure out why i keep getting an error message that the selection is empty when i try to create a new layer-via copy after using the rectangle marque selection tool then refining the edge/feathering my photo...please help! |

Check what layer you are working on in the layer pallette, if there is more than one layer that is. |
