I am making a texture for a 3d model of a grungy old car. At this link:
http://img.webme.com/pic/a/artgraphic3d/game_art_old_ford_van_te2.jpg
Is a texture similar to the one I would like to acheive.
Notice around the wheels on the body of the car are little dirt splatter that appear to have been from riding on dirty or muddy roads.
How can i Recreate this effect in PShop internally? Big Wink

And if you dont understand what I mean by texturing, take a look at this:

Ps. I have photoshop CS5 extended and consider myself fluent with it.

Welcome to the forums.

As always, first things first collect your resources, here's one to start with:

grunge & stuff

Just do a search for grunge textures or splatter brushes and fill your boots.

As for texturing, you don't say what sort of level you are at with Photoshop, or what version you have, but with PS CS4 (I think) there was an integration with 3D, ideal for your purposes CS4 Texturing . If you want tutorials on how to apply textures it depends if you want 3D related or Photoshop.
